NASCAR Star Ken Schrader to Appear at Hoosier Hundred May 28, 2010

On Friday, May 28, 2010 Nascar Star and long time Track Enterprises supporter Ken Schrader will be in attendance piloting his #9 Federated Car Car UMP Modified. Schrader will be competing in the first UMP Modified race during the Hoosier Hundred. Schrader however is no stranger to the Indiana State Fairgrounds or the Hoosier Hundred USAC Silver Crown event. Schrader won the pole position at the Hoosier Hundred event in the past and won other events at the Indiana State Fairgrounds including a Modified race and other USAC events. The UMP Modified race will be the first of three events in the Modified Triple Crown Series, all held on one mile dirt tracks. The second race in the series will be Saturday, August 21 during the Illinois State Fair, then the series finale with a two day event on September 5 & 6 during the DuQuoin State Fair.

Ken Schrader is renowned as a racer’s racer who will compete in anything with wheels. Missouri-born Schrader started his racing career on dirt tracks throughout the Midwest before establishing a successful NASCAR racing career. Schrader is the co-owner of Macon Speedway, Paducah International Raceway and I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO. Schrader and Track Enterprises owner Bob Sargent, another co-owner in the above mentioned dirt tracks have also partnered for numerous racing endeavors in the past including the 2003 purchase of the United Midwestern Promoters’ racing series and 2004 acquisition of the Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series, both of which were subsequently purchased by the parent company of the prominent World of Outlaws’ Series—Dirt Motorsports.

Last year’s Hoosier Hundred winner was Shane Hollingsworth. The day will consist of practice at 5:00 p.m., Silver Crown qualifying at 6:00 p.m. and the races will begin at 7:00 p.m. This tradition rich race will be brought to you by Track Enterprises, Inc. Tickets are on sale now for reserved grandstand seats, ticket prices for the Friday, May 28, 2010 Hoosier 100 are as follows: Advance Adults: $25.00 and Children 11 and under: $10.00. Infield tickets will only be sold the day of the scheduled event, race admission to the infield is $15.00 for adults and children 12 & under are $5.00.
