Five Drivers with One Event Remaining in Contention
Park City, Kansas – October 15, 2018 - A five-car battle for the 2018 points championship concludes this coming Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products crate late model division makes their sixth and final appearance of the season at the “home” of NCRA.
Despite being winless thus far this season, Marysville, Kansas driver Dusty Leonard sits atop the current point standings with a forty-point lead over Cory Dumpert and three-time and defending tour champion Chris Kratzer. Dumpert of York, Nebraska has a tour-leading six feature victories on the season with three of those victories coming at 81 Speedway. Kratzer is also winless on the season.
Former tour champion Delbert Smith of Wichita sits fourth in the standings, just 50-points out while former co-series champion Daniel Smith is just 95-points out of the point lead.
Sixth through tenth in the standings are Adam Popp, Jimmy Segraves, Adam Schrag, Brandon Givens and Tony Foster.
Drivers having reached victory lane thus far this season include Dumpert (6), Delbert Smith (2), Givens and Josh Leonard (1).
Gates for this Saturday night at 81 Speedway will open at 5:00 PM with race action set for 7:00 PM. Grandstand general admission is just $15 for adults while children eleven and under will be admitted, into the grandstands, for free. This will also be Business Appreciation Night at the speedway with all City, State and County employees being admitted into the grandstands for free as well as one of your guests. You must present your current badge or paystub, along with your ID, to be admitted.
