NCRA Late Model Division Kicks off 2013 This Weekend!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas - May 21, 2013 - The 30th season for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products late model division will kick off this coming Memorial Day weekend with a double header of racing action at two different race tracks in two different states.
It all begins this coming Saturday night as the tour opens for the second year in a row at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska. Last year thirty-three drivers from three states were on hand for the season opener and it was former two-time series champion Kyle Berck who picked up the victory.
The tour will then load up and head south to the home track of the series, 81 Speedway in Park City for a special Sunday night encounter with the three-eighths mile clay oval.
A few of the drivers who are expected to compete during the weekend include: Travis Dickies, Tad Popsil, Wylan Petree, Bill Leighton, Corey Zietner, Darrick Klima, Gary Gorby, Bo Egge and Andrew Kosiski.
G&G Dozer out of Caney, Kansas has climbed aboard as tour rookie of the year sponsor for the 2013 race season and three drivers have contacted series officials about their intent on competing for those honors. They include Darin Busch of Enid, Oklahoma, Chance Bishop of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Jeremy Petty of Smolan, Kansas.
Saturday night’s event at Junction Motor Speedway will see gates open at 5:00 PM and green flag racing beginning at 7:00 PM. Adult general admission tickets are $15 and students 6-12 $5. All kids five and under will be admitted free. The track is four miles south of the York I-80 interchange at McCool Junction, Nebraska. Sunday night’s event at 81 Speedway will see gates open at 4:00 PM and racing slated for a 6:00 PM start time. Grandstand admission tickets are just $10. The track is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then .7 mile west on 77th St. in Park City. For more race and ticket information contact the 81 Speedway office (316) 755-1781.
Since 1971 the NCRA has sanctioned dirt track races across the Great Plains with the series currently sanctioning five other divisions. They include modifieds, southern sport modifieds, late models, 360 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and new mod lites. The 2013 season for the National Championship Racing Association is the 43rd anniversary season with races scheduled at sixteen different race tracks across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
