New event added due to postponement of tonight's Wide Open Wednesday Presented By AAA Insurance

Tomorrow evening is make-up date for tonight's rained-out Wide Open Wednesday

– Sometimes, when the weather fails to cooperate, you have to work around it. Since tonight's Wide Open Wednesday Presented By AAA Insurance was postponed due to weather, Gateway Motorsports Park officials have added a new event to the schedule.

The make-up date, dubbed "Try Again Thursday," will take place tomorrow (Thursday, April 28). Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with on-track action starting at 5 p.m.


Thursday, April 28

4:30 p.m. -- Gates open. Tech inspection and fuel sales begin (fuel sales conclude at 7:30 p.m.).

5:p.m. -- Race tire exclusive session (5-6:30 p.m.).

5:30 p.m. -- Concessions stands open – 99-cent beer and hot dog specials.

6:30 p.m. -- Open testing – all tire types.

8:15 p.m. -- Tech card sales conclude.

8:30 p.m. -- Tech inspection concludes.

8:30 p.m. -- Concession stands closed.

To be determined -- Rear of staging lanes close (based on total car count); Conclusion of event (based on total car count).

11 p.m. -- Pit sweep.


Entry fees and admission prices

Adult spectator: $10 (with trackside wedge parking – no staging or restricted-access).

Kids 12 and under: Free.

Restricted-area crew: $15 (restricted-area wristband).

Test ‘n’ Tune: $30 (car and driver).
