BYERS, Colo. (April 30) – The second event in the Larry Shaw Racing Blood, Sweat and Tears Colorado Series for IMCA Modifieds will be Sunday, May 16 at Colorado Motorsports Park.
The event at Byers pays $1,000 to win, is a qualifier for the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and replaces the I-76 Speedway series show rained out on April 25.

“We are trying to work with all of the tracks in Colorado and this was one of the only weekends left for us to run,” BST Director Joe Bellm explained. “I-76 already had a full plate.”

A minimum of $100 will be paid to start the feature. Pit gates open at 10 a.m. with grandstands opening at noon and racing at 2 p.m. In addition to special series points, Modifieds earn national, ButlerBuilt Central Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts are also on the Sunday card, racing for all applicable points.

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages six to 10. Youngsters five and under get in free. Pit passes are $25.

David Murray Jr. won the series opener held April 11 at CMP.
