Center Line, Mich. - Kyle Nicholas made an impressive USAC National Midget Car Series debut in 2004, but the 17-year-old Floridian will make the biggest splash of his life during the 2006 racing season. Nicholas has inked a deal to drive for Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises in the USAC National Midget and Sprint Car Series for the upcoming season.

Under the tutelage of crew chief Bobby Barth and teammates Josh Wise and Levi Jones, Nicholas is looking forward to the learning curve that national competition presents.

"Driving for the Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises team is a great opportunity for me," Nicholas said. "Working with Bobby Barth, who is one of the most renowned crew chiefs in USAC Racing, will be a great learning experience. Having Josh Wise and Levi Jones as teammates will also play a huge part in this experience. I've already learned a lot in just being around everyone at the shop.
I'm really looking forward to competing with the team this season and learning as much as I can."

Piloting the No. 29 USAC National Midget and No. 29s USAC National Sprint Car, Nicholas will make his debut with the team in the upcoming O'Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour 'N Topless event at East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Fla. The three-day event will begin with a practice session on January 29, with racing following on January 30-February 1.
