ADA, Okla. (Jan. 25) – Three USRA-sanctioned classes will be a part of the weekly Saturday night program in 2011 at the Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Okla.
Drivers in the USRA RHS Modified division will compete for a points fund worth $1,500 at season’s end to the track champion and a $10,000 top prize awaiting the division’s national champion in the USRA Weekly Racing Series.
The USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars race for a $600-to-win track championship and national points fund worth $1,500 to the winner. The class will compete under the current Pro/Street track rules for the 2011 season.
Competitors in the USRA Western Flyer Limited Mods will be chasing a $500 top prize for winning the track title and $2,000 for the top points earner nationally. The USRA Western Flyer Limited Mods will battle for national points in the same category with the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.
Oklahoma Sports Park opened in 1994 under the direction of George and Clyde Welch. Now entering their 17th season in 2011, they are still building for the future.
“More that 2,000 spectators fill the stands on a normal race night, and they never leave disappointed,” said George Welch. “We can seat 3,600 people at the present time, but that will be going up this summer.”
The 2011 racing season will start with a bang as the Oklahoma Sports Park hosts the Spring Fling on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2.
USRA RHS Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win on Saturday while both the USRA Western Flyer Limited Mods and USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars (Pro/Streets) will battle for $750 to win. Local Pure Stock and Factory Stock classes will also be on the card.

The USRA was founded in 2002 with the sanctioning of Modifieds and Stock Cars at the Thunder Valley Speedway in Fayetteville, Ark. Hobby Stocks were added in 2003 and the organization grew steadily over the next three years with 14 tracks hosting USRA events in 2005. The B-Mod division arrived on the scene in 2006 and since then, USRA Weekly Racing Series national champions have been crowned in all four premier divisions.
