Ok We have a Highland legal sportsman.

We run Emods, aftermarket heads, and a Holly 500cfm 2 barrel( have a 4 barrel if it can be run.

Can we run this fri at Belle- Clair? Or do we have to change anything?

Call the tech man

Scott, your best bet would be to call the A.A.R.A. tech man. His name is Ralph Joseph. According to the A.A.R.A. rule book, his number is (618)281-6142. Ralph has always been a stand up guy when I've had any tech questions. He would be the guy to talk to.

not legal

You will be un able to run at belleville. E Mod tires are not legal and the aftermarket heads aren't legal either. We are still running for points the next 2 weeks so the rules are still set. Plus another rule that highland has that we can't run is the spring loaded pull bar. I don't know if you have the spring loaded one or not but we can only run the rubber biscuit pull bar. Sorry that you wouldn't be legal cause it is always nice to see new racers at belleville. Hope all this helps you out. Good luck the rest of the year.

Thanks for the info guys.

We were told a week or so ago that this week would be an open night of racing. Not nessesarally open comp but they would loosen the rules.

From what i was told the points for the sportsman were suppossed to be over thats why we wanted to go there and try out the track. Thats was what i was going by when I first posted this.

tempermental1 We know we are legal for the Godfrey show and had planned on going but I think due to the high regestration and pit pass costs we might be skipping that one.

We were just wanting to ry some differnt tracks that we dont normally run but it seems all the tracks but Highland have no open comp nights. Tri city cut the sportsman that night that was on the 4th and is now the 11th, Godfrey got rained out last week so they had to cancel their open night. and Now Belleclair has extended their point nights 2 more weeks, so we are out of luck there.

Once again thanks for the info guys and hope to see you at a track somewhere sometime....lol

Ok On the web site there is a night of racing on oct 3. Is this an open night with looser rules?

Please let us know as we would like to try this track at least once.

We were planing on going to the playday there in the spring but it was canceled.

Thanks

If you mean the sportsman /bomber/hornet show that was moved to the 11th yeah we are planning on being there.

I haven't looked at there web site about the October show but i do remember talk about a big modified show with a support class like the 600cc micros or something. I am not positive but i don't think it is a Sportsman show. I may be wrong and i hope i am wrong but i am not for sure. Post something if you find out for sure what the show will be. Thanks and hope you find out what ya need to find out.

Tom

Yes....I meant the 11th.

Hey Tom...that show was supposed to be promoted by Brian Thompson..but he decided not to promote it since he is doing the Brownstown Bash on Oct. 25th. So...I'm guessing the 3rd show will be a regular night. Anybody know for sure?? Will it be a points night??
