Granite City, IL -- Dad's gonna get the best present he ever had when he sees Mooney Starr's O'Reilly Mid America Racing Series Late Models tear up Tri-City Speedway's flat half-mile dirt on Father's Day, June 20.

And this Father's Day Special is cool for kids too -- Kids, bring Pop to the races and you (12 and under, of course) get in absolutely FREE! That's right --you bring Dad and you get in FREE!

Kids, you're gonna give the old man heart palpitations when he sees Wendell Wallace (Batesville, Arkasas), Terry Phillips (Springfield, Missouri), Al Purkey (Coffeyville, Kansas), Jeff Floyd (Walnut Ridge, Arkansas) and Bill Frye (Greenbriar, Arkansas) shred Tri-City Speedway's lightning-fast half-mile dirt to smithereens with their ground-pounding dirt Late Models.

Phillips and Frye have both won twice on the O'Reilly Mid America Racing Series tour so far, and with Wendell Wallace and Jeff Taylor also notching wins, it's anyone's race on Father's Day. Arkansas' Jeff Taylor and Peyton Taylor, Oklahoma's Raymond Merrill and Missourians Brad Looney, Joey Mack, Leslie Essary, Brandon McCormick and Jason Bodenhamer will also take 120 mile-per-hour shots at Tri-City's half-mile.

And if that's not enough, wait 'til dear ole' Dad hears the Sportsmen and Modified stock cars are going to chew up our quarter-mile dirt track in 20-lap shootouts that pay $500 to the winner of the Sportsman feature and $750 to the Modified feature winner.

Spectator gates for the Father's Day O'Reilly MARS Late Models open at 5 p.m. with the first race at 7 p.m. Tri-City Speedway is located one-half mile south of I-270 on Illinois Route 203 south (exit 4), just 10 minutes north of downtown St.Louis.
