Baton Rouge, Louisiana (May 15, 2004) - The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models and Sprint Car Series were both rained out this weekend as heavy rains drenched the entire gulf south region. The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models were slated for Houston Raceway Park but the races were called late Friday afternoon when yet another heavy band of rained hit Baytown, Texas. The Sprints Cars held out hope until Saturday morning when rains once again returned to the Baton Rouge area, washing out all racing activity.

The O'Reilly Sprint Cars will return to Baton Rouge next Saturday night, May 22nd. Saturday night's race will pay $1,500 to win and if 30 cars or more chow up, the purse will increase to $2,000 to win.

The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models will get the weekend of May 22nd off with the previously announced cancellation at Deep South Speedway but will return to action with a big Memorial Day weekend. The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models will kick off the big three day holiday weekend with a visit to Many (La.) Motor Speedway on Friday night, May 28th. The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models will compete in $2,000 to win 40-lap feature. The series will then head to Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, Louisiana for the first time in 2004 on Saturday night, May 29th. The SUPR Late Models will battle in a $2,500 to win 50-lap main event. The weekend will wrap up with a return visit to Champion Park Speedway in Doyline, Louisiana. This will be the tour's second visit to the north Louisiana speedway but their first chance to run as the first visit was called due to a late rain storm. Once again, the Late Models will do battle in 50-lap $2,500 to win feature.

For additional information on any of these races contact the O'Reilly SUPR offices at 225-275-5040.
