Over $220,000 awarded at FASTRAK/ULTIMATE Night of Champions Banquet

FASTRAK Companies International, LLC held their annual Night of Champions Banquet in Kingsport, TN on Saturday January 19th. During the ceremony, champions of the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance, FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship, FASTRAK Divisional Championships, ULTIMATE Southeast, ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass, ULTIMATE Northeast and ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley were honored. In total, over $220,000 in cash and contingencies were awarded to the drivers that competed under FASTRAK Companies International’s series. A list of all champions and awards can be found at the end of this release.

Several announcements were also made at the Night of Champions Banquet. The 2019 FASTRAK World Championship, paying $50,000 to win and $2,050 to start on September 13th and 14th will be broadcasted on MavTV on tape delay in November. Additionally, the World Championship and other FASTRAK and ULTIMATE races will be streamed on Speed51.com, which has become the official video home for FASTRAK and ULTIMATE. The full slate of broadcasted races will be announced at a later date.

In 2019, the FASTRAK World Challenge will be held at Beckley Motorsports Park. It will be a two-day show, paying $2,000 to win on Friday and $5,000 to win on Saturday for FASTRAK members who have competed in a minimum of ten FASTRAK races. A $5,000 to win point fund will be paid to the top ten drivers in points through the two-night event. The FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship will pay $5,000 to win and pay though the top ten in 2019. The other half of the point fund was moved to the FASTRAK World Challenge weekend, giving drivers the possibility of winning $17,000 by winning the National Championship, both nights of the FASTRAK World Challenge, and the FASTRAK World Challenge Point Fund.

FASTRAK Founder, Stan Lester, announced that he will be a partner with Joe and Phyllis Loven at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN in 2019. A schedule, classes, and other details about Volunteer Speedway will be announced in the coming weeks.

Lester also announced that he will be stepping away from the helm of the company he founded 15 years ago. DJ Irvine was named “Employee of the year” and promoted to Executive Vice President.

FASTRAK General Manager, DJ Irvine, formally announced the FASTRAK Future Stars Tour for teenage drivers. Drivers ages 13 to 19 will be eligible to compete in the new 602 Late Model Tour which will run alongside select FASTRAK and ULTIMATE events. The rule book has been released and the schedule is being worked on. The series plans to have roughly ten races in the first year.

Also announced was the new ULTIMATE Deep South Super Late Model Series which will run races in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas in 2019. Series director, Charles Raymond Evans III, has already released a schedule for the upcoming season, which kicks off at ECM Speedway on April 13th. The ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series has been rebranded to the ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series, as the region will shift westward and include Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee.
