Paducah International Raceway gears up for big doubleheader weekend

Friday May 1 and Saturday May 2 Paducah International Raceway will be hosting one of the biggest weekends in its history. Friday May 1 will be a complete show of UMP DirtCar Late Models (paying $3000 to win and $300 to start), UMP DirtCar Modifieds, UMP DirtCar Pro Late Models, UMP DirtCar Street Stocks, UMP DirtCar 4 Cylinder Warriors, and the Western Kentucky Vintage Cars.

Saturday May 2 will feature the Lucas Oil Late Models for a $10,000 to win Late Model show. This will be the Lucas series first ever stop at the ultra high banked speedplant. This is also the last stop for the Lucas Oil series Road to the Wheatland Diamond Nationals race. Also featured on the card will be the UMP DirtCar Street Stocks, the UMP DirtCar Series 4 Cylinder Warriors, and the Western Kentucky Vintage cars.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Ken Schrader, and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006.
