BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (July 2-3, 2005) The annual Pepsi Summer Sizzler featured some of the best racing of the season at Big River Sand Drags during the two-day event.
In racing action on Saturday, in Junior ATV, Whitney Dee of Leadwood was the first place winner with Desire Patterson-Conway taking second place and winning the top eliminator race.
In ATV-1, Lindsey Hayes of Pilot Knob was the first place winner with second place winner Lauren Banks taking the top eliminator race.
In Pro ATV, Kevin Betzer Sr. of Arnold finished in first place, but it was Kevin Betzer Jr. taking second place and whipping his father in the top eliminator race.
In Super Pro ATV, Erika Camden of Bonne Terre was the top eliminator and first place winner with Chris McAlexander taking second place.
In Vehicle ET, Jason Harris of Desloge was the top eliminator and first place winner while Bryan Cox of St. Louis settled for second place.
In Competition Eliminator, Brad Lunn of Pacific finished first with second place winner John Dreher winning the top eliminator race.
In Open 4x4, Daniel Wies of Wentzville was the first place winner and top eliminator after knocking off his father Terry Wies in the top eliminator race.
In Off Road Modified, Todd Dee of Leadwood was the top eliminator and first place winner with Scott Wildharber taking second place.
In Stock Buggy, Jeremy Sutton of Park Hills was the first place and top eliminator winner with Cody "Circle S" Sellers of Arnold taking second place.
On Sunday, it was Nick Ziegler of High Ridge winning first place and top eliminator in the Junior ATV class with Whitney Dee of Leadwood settling for second place.
In ATV-1, Allie Glatczak of Potosi was the top eliminator and first place winner with Cassie Patterson taking second place.
In Pro ATV, Tanya Cunningham of Wood River, Ill. was the first place winner with Kevin Betzer Jr. taking second place and winning the top eliminator race.
In Super Pro ATV, Jeff Griffin of Pevely was the first place winner while second place winner Charles Curtis of Independence won the top eliminator race.
In Vehicle ET, Philip Beaird of St. Louis was the top eliminator and first place winner with Gladys Edwards of Bonne Terre taking second place.
In Open 4x4, Daniel Wies once again was the top eliminator and first place winner while his father Terry was second.
In Competition Eliminator, William Sutton of Des Arc was the first place winner with John Dreher of Wentzville taking second place and winning the top eliminator race.
In Stock Buggy, Kevin "Grape Ape" Sellers of Arnold was the first place winner and top eliminator while Vernon Henson Jr. was the second place winner.
