BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (July 1, 2006) Randy Bevill of Festus made his first appearance at Big River Sand Drags a memorable one Saturday night as he not only grabbed first place in the Vehicle ET class, he also won the top eliminator race. Bevill said he has been racing his truck in mud races, but decided to give Big River a try since it was so close to his home. Gladys Edwards of Bonne Terre captured second place.
In Competition Eliminator, Daniel Wies of Wentzville was first, but second place finisher Brad Lunn of Pacific won the top eliminator race.
In Open 4x4, J.R. Dreher of Wentzville was the first place winner with Terry Wies of Wentzville taking second place and top eliminator.
In Off Road Modified, Todd Dee of Leadwood was first with Eddie Byassee of Cape Girardeau second.
In Super Pro ATV, Rob Schmidt of Arnold was first with second place winner Josh Varner taking top eliminator
In Pro ATV, Jimmy "Superfly" Farris of Potosi continued his winning way by taking both first place and top eliminator while Jimmy Glatczak of Potosi finished second.
In ATV-1, Eric "The Real" McCoy of Potosi was first with second place winner Allie Glatczak of Potosi winning top eliminator.
In Junior ATV, Blake Harris of Farmington was first with Thad Farris of Potosi taking second place and top eliminator.
There were 91 racers on hand for Saturday night's Pepsi Summer Sizzler at BRSD.
