MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Feb. 28) – Performance Distributors will expand its IMCA contingency program this season, with new awards for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMod drivers.
Drivers in both divisions, as well as the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks who compete with DUI distributors are eligible for product prizes or product certificates given by the Memphis, Tenn., manufacturer.
Top drivers in national SportMod standings and regional Stock Car and Hobby Stock standings all receive DUI distribu¬tors. Runners-up all get $100 product certificates, with $75 for third, $50 for fourth and $25 for fifth.
“With the increased emphasis on ignition systems and components this year, it’s great to get Performance Distributors involved with the SportMod divisions,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “They recognize the importance of working with IMCA and our members to ensure a level playing field and the racers are the ones who will really benefit from this addition."
Drivers in all four divisions must display two Performance Distributors decals on their race cars and return a sign-up sheet to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1.
