Millstadt, IL – The POWRi presented by Speedway Motors National Midget and 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint Series will breathe life into the famed high banked 1/5 mile at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL on Saturday October 9th. The National Midget series will come to a close for the 2010 season with Brad Loyet of Sunset Hills, MO already crowned champion. Loyet will look to cap the successful season with a win.

The POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint Series event will certainly be more like the 4th of July rather than October with fireworks surely to fly with Andrew Felker of Carl Junction, MO and Jeremy Camp of Blue Mound, IL only separated by 25 points before the final event of the season. These two young competitors will be seeking their first POWRi Championship of their careers. Felker, who also competes in the National Midget division, was the 2009 POWRi National Midget Rookie of the Year. 2009 POWRi Micro Sprint champ Derek King is currently third with his sister Kara in fourth. Joe B. Miller of Millersville, MO and recent winner of the I-30 Micro Sprint Nationals rounds out the top five.

Belle-Clair pit gates open at 1:00 PM and general admission opens at 4:00 PM. Hot laps begin at 6:00 PM with racing at 7:00 PM. General admission tickets are $12 each with kids 6 and under free. Stop by Don’s Hardware to purchase your tickets and you’ll pay only $10.
