Keith Pratt, Michael Long, Kevin Tomlinson and Jim Powell all claimed feature event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday, April 26 during John Wood Community College Truck Driver Training Night at the Races.

Pratt redeemed his bad luck in the Deery Brothers Summer Series event on Thursday night when he rolled his new ride in turn one by leading every lap of the Budweiser IMCA Late Model 30 lap main event. Pratt took the lead at the drop of the green flag with Matt Bailey in tow in the second spot. Bailey tried in vain to catch Pratt but was unable to do so even with a couple of caution flags being thrown. The red flag came out on lap the second lap as veteran Terry Gallaher flew off the top of turn one and rolled his late model. Gallaher was uninjured but the same could not be said of his car. Pratt got into lapped traffic and worked it with ease as he outdistanced himself from the field at the checkered flag. Matt Bailey settled for second followed by Jason Frankel in third, Justin Reed in fourth and Jerry Weisenberger in fifth. Weisenberger and Gallaher were the heat race winners with Joey Gower scoring his second win in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash Series.

Michael Long continued his dominance of the Miller Lite Modified division in taking the feature event win. This time it was not that easy as Long had to battle from his fifth row starting spot to get to the front and it took most of the first twenty laps of the twenty five laps to get it done. Steven DeLonjay led most of the first twenty laps and looked like he might just have the event under control but Long took advantage of a small mistake to take the lead for the final five circuits. DeLonjay settled for second with Justin Reed in third, Robbie Reed in fourth and Donovan Lodge in fifth. DeLonjay and Todd Reed were the heat race winners with DeLonjay picking up the win in the Advance Trading Trophy Dash Series.

The lead spot for the Triple R Performance Engines IMCA Stock Car feature event seemed to be jinxed as every leader except for Kevin Tomlinson seemed to be snake bit as all of them slipped over the top of the banking to lose the lead. Andrew Griffin took the early lead and held on for four laps but Doug Huls took over for lap five through lap thirteen. Huls slipped over turn two giving the lead back to Griffin for lap fourteen and fifteen. Terry Houston took over on lap sixteen and looked like he might claim his first ever feature win in the division but the snake struck again as he too slipped up over the top of the banking giving the lead back to Griffin again but it just was not going to end there as Griffin went over the banking giving the lead and the feature event win to Kevin Tomlinson. Levi Long grabbed the second spot followed by Doug Huls in third, Abe Huls in fourth and Chris Wibbell in fifth. Sarah Woodhurst and Levi Long were the heat race winners.

Jim Powell grabbed another Tim’s Machine Shop Hobby Stock feature event win, his second in a row. Travis Booher took the second spot followed by Wes Mayfield in third, Steve Carlin in fourth and Jake Powers in fifth. Steve Carlin and Jake Powers were the heat race winners.
