Inside Line Promotions - STOCKTON, Calif. (March 19, 2019) - Robbie Price is aiming to be as prepared as possible once the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season heats up beginning next month.

The season-opening event in Texas was canceled because of weather last weekend, giving Price the opportunity to stay in California and continue racing with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

"We don't do a whole lot of 410 racing so my program is pretty much based off our 360 program," he said. "That doesn't always translate, but we're learning and growing race by race."

The action began last Friday at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., during the Silver Dollar Shootout presented by Reibes NAPA Auto Parts. Price qualified 15th quickest in his group. A ninth-place finish in a heat race was followed by a runner-up result in the C Main. Price's night ended in the Last Chance Showdown.

"I struggled and we had some ignition issues early," he said. "That hurt us the whole night. In the C Main we found something and ran decent, but then again it's the C Main. We were running ok in the Last Chance Showdown, but I got over the cushion so I pulled off."

The weekend concluded on Saturday at Stockton Dirt Track during the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown. Price timed in 31st quickest in qualifying before he ended eighth in a heat race. He exited the track early in the Last Chance Showdown.

"We were better, but we were tight all night," he said. "Our shock package didn't fit what we wanted to do. However, we got it better every time we went out."

Price plans on competing this Friday at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif., during the Ocean Outlaw Showdown and Saturday at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, Calif., during the 49er Gold Rush Classic presented by Riebes NAPA Auto Parts with the World of Outlaws.

"I've ran both places a couple of times and I like both of them," he said. "We were good there the last time I was at Ocean Speedway. I think we ran up to third and knocked the Jacob's Ladder out of it. We've had some good speed there. I've been to Placerville a handful of times and had some speed there, too."
