Inside Line Promotions - WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (Sept. 30, 2020) - Robbie Price scored an eighth-place result Sunday night during the Fall Nationals at Riverside International Speedway.

The top-10 outing was his 10th of the season and served as a confidence booster following a tough previous weekend for the Cobble Hill, B.C., native.

"It was my first-ever visit to Riverside and it was a big eye opener for me," he said. "The track was really slick and that's not something I'm used to at all. We learned a lot and a top 10 was a breath of fresh air after some struggles."

Rain postponed Saturday's racing activities until Sunday and Price began the night by finishing seventh in a heat race. As a result, he earned the 13th starting spot in the A Main. At the completion of the 30-lap race he passed five cars to finish eighth.

"I needed to get to the bottom earlier in the heat race and I kind of buried us early in the heat," he said. "We were not really too bad in the feature, but we really weren't all that good either. It was a little out of my comfort zone, so it was a good thing to learn and get seat time on a track like that."

Price is set for two nights of racing this Friday and Saturday during the 33rd annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires hosted by I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event pays $10,041 to win the finale.

Price has visited the track twice this season with a best finish of 25 th coming in June. With the 2020 racing season winding down, Price is hoping the positive momentum earned in Arkansas will lead to a solid effort against an expected large field of drivers.

"I'll be the first one to admit that I-30 has never been kind to me and I have always struggled at the place," he said. "But I'm not the kind of guy who gives up and we're going to come back and try to put something together to have a good run.

"I always seem to be good in hot laps and when the track changes I struggle. That tells me it is the driver and not the car. Hopefully, we can take what we've learned and maybe this weekend will be the one where we shake the bad luck. I'm looking forward to trying again."
