Officials of the Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series and Auto Tire and Parts Racepark promoter Stan Myers were forced to postpone the $10,000 to win “Battle At Benton 50” Friday after rain and thunderstorms made the racing surface unsafe for competition. The $42,000 purse event has been rescheduled for Friday, May 7.

Thunderstorms moved over the high-banked 3/8ths mile dirt oval just after pit gates had opened dropping a large amount of rain. With more rain and thunderstorms in the forecast throughout the week-end the decision was made to postpone the event one week.

With the postponement at Auto Tire and Parts Racepark the Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series now will have a double-header of racing action on tap for Mothers Day week-end. After the Auto Tire and Parts Racepark event the series will travel to LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, IL Saturday, May 8 for the $10,000 to win “YJ Stinger Illini Challenge 50” at the high-banked ¼ mile speedway.

Pit gates at Auto Tire and Parts Racepark are slated to open at 3:00pm with spectator gates opening at 5:00pm. Warm-ups will begin at 7:00pm followed by RINGERS GLOVES Time Trials at 7:30pm and racing at 8:00pm. All times listed are Central Daylight Time. Adult general admission is $20.00, children 10 years of age and under are free and pit admission is $30.00. Joining the Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series on the racing card will be the Auto Tire and Parts Racepark Street Stock and Modified divisions.

And, a strong promotional effort will find the Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series "simulator" DirtCar making several stops at various locations in the LaSalle area throughout the week with free samples of Stacker2 and YJ Stinger Extreme Energy Drink products available. Plus, one lucky fan in attendance at the "YJ Stinger Illini Challenge 50" will walk away $1,000 richer by participating in the Stacker2 "Paydirt 24" promotion.
