(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The D&R Motorsports team and driver Ray Cook entered a single Dirt Late Model event over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend, as they traveled to the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee on Saturday evening, May 26. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series rolled into SMS to sanction a $4,000 to win program. Ray timed in fourth quickest during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the second row for the start of the 40-lapper. During the course of the A-Main, the Brasstown, North Carolina ace raced hard inside of the top five before eventually landing in the fourth position behind only race winner Vic Hill, Tommy Kerr, and Billy Ogle, Jr. Full results can be viewed by clicking on www.ultimatesupers.com.

Next up for the #53 team will be a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tilts over the June 1-2 weekend in the states of Tennessee and Kentucky. Ray, who pulled off of the ultra-competitive national tour back in April, will tackle $10,000 to win battles on Friday night at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee and on Saturday evening at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. Additional information concerning the LOLMDS double-dip can be accessed by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com.
