(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook Racing unloaded their #53 Capital racecar on Saturday afternoon, November 16 at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia. The Super Late Model portion of the annual 'Gobbler' weekend drew 31 entrants to vie for the $3,500 paycheck.

Ray Cook, of Brasstown, North Carolina, laid down the twenty-first quickest time overall during qualifying before securing the fourth transfer spot through his B-Main. After starting the 40-lap main event from the inside of the ninth row, Ray moved up several positions at the Chattanooga-area venue before mechanical trouble on the left front derailed a possible top ten finish and dropped him back to eighteenth in the final rundown. Full results from the unsanctioned 'Gobbler' can be accessed online at www.boydsspeedway.net.

The #53 team will jump right back into competition this upcoming Friday night, November 22 at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia. The 20th edition of the 'Georgia State Outlaw Championship' will close out the season for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series. Friday's showdown in the Peach State will be headlined by a 50-lap feature event, which will pay $5,000 to the winner.
