MT. IDA, Ark. (Nov. 3, 2002) - The staff of Arkansas Raceway Park has been forced to cancel the remainder of the Razorback Nationals and re-schedule it for the second week of March, 2003. We feel like there are no other options available to us. The race weekend will boast over a $60,000 purse, a double show, and the chance at $10,000.

The race format will include:

Thursday, March 13 -- Last chance heat races, "B" feature and $5,000-to-win "A" feature (from Nov. 2).

Friday, March 14 -- Qualifying heat races and features.

Saturday, March 15 -- Last chance heat races, "B" feature and $5,000-to-win Spring Nationals "A" feature.

The cars present for the fall portion, as well as the new cars who were not at the fall race, will have the same chance and the same ability to qualify for the final (14) spots in the "A" feature for Thursday.

Overnight soaking rains, overcast skies throughout the day on Sunday, Nov. 3, have left us with no other options other than to re-schedule for the spring. There are several other races each weekend throughout the month of November which leaves us with no weekend to race. We feel that Thursday's $5,000-to-win, qualifications on Friday and another $5,000 to win on Saturday will draw some of the best modified drivers from across the country.
