NEW FLORENCE, MO (July 25) –-The record heat didn't slow things down at Montgomery County Speedway, the nights racing action was just as hot.
Shawn Rayfield of O'fallon, MO captured his first ever Budweiser UMP Late Model feature win. Shawn lead the entire feature from green to checkered to pick up his first win.
Rounding out the top five; 1. 18r Shawn Rayfield, 2. 22g Steve Grotz, 3.10 Dallas Bennett, 4. 33p Keith Pratt, 5. B1 Nick Bauman
In the Miller UMP A-Modified division Leroy Haney held off a hard charging Mike Vanderiet, Jr., Neil Wade and Brad White to pick up the feature win.
Rounding out the top five, 1. 14h Leroy Haney, 2. 17v Mike Vanderiet, Jr., 3. 4b Neil Wade, 4. 10 Brad White, 5. 53 Terry Cox.
Action in the B-Modified divison saw a hard fought duel between James Brock and Craig Roden to decide the evenings feature event. Craig Roden made his move in turns one and two at about the halfway point in the race to pick up the win.
The win was Craig Roden's 5th feature in a row and 9th for the season. There is still a $100 bounty to any driver that can beat Craig Roden in the B-Modified feature event.
Rounding out the top 5, 1. 27 Craig Roden, 2. 14 James Brock, 3. 007 Mike Vanderiet, Jr., 4. 21 Randy Dickman, 5. 5L Lee Pruitt
In the Pepsi Super Street division Daryl Dodge picks up his second feature in a row and now has a $100 bounty on him for next week to any driver that can beat Daryl in the Super Street feature event.
