Results of Sept. 3rd races at St. Francois County

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Sept. 3, 2005) Jimmy Hurley of Springfield, Ill. captured his third sprint car feature of the season Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway. Hurley held off Joey Montgomery for the win with Jason Keith taking third place, Terry Babb fourth and Steve Short fifth. They were followed by Jason Hunt, Tim Moss, Lance Gullo, Bob Thoman and Nathan Higgins. Babb won the first heat race with Bryan Matthews second and Tommy Worley Jr. third. Hurley won the second heat with Keith second and Hunt third. Montgomery won the third heat with Thoman second and Keith Burch third. Montgomery won the trophy dash with Thoman second and Babb third.
Billy "The Kidd" Smith of Park Hills was the winner of the Modified class feature race. Brent Thompson was second in the feature with Jeremy Greenwalt third, Alan Conner fourth and Tommy Worley Sr. fifth. They were followed by John Bohn, Adam Parmeley, Pete Koenig, Jon Paul Reando and Tony Palmer. Smith won the first heat race with Thompson second and Parmeley third. Mike Francis won the second heat with Greenwalt second and Worley third.
Doug Savage of Farmington and Kenny Harris of Desloge hooked up in the closest finish of the night with Savage being declared the winner in a photo finish of the Sportsmen class feature. Harris was second with Leonard Betsch third, Randy Forster fourth and Kyle Stolzer fifth. They were followed by Matt Eaton, Chris West, Tim Phares, Eric Sarakas and Donnie Mosier. Nathan Gibson won the first heat with Harris second and Betsch third. Savage won the second heat with Mosier second and Stolzer third.
Casey Barnhouse of Farmington picked up the victory in the 600cc Multi class feature. Dustin Barks was second with Andy Moss third, Junior Ferguson fourth and Andy Malpocker fifth. They were followed by Tom Dickerman, Rodney Williams, Mark Shirshekan, Ray Statler and Brian Keen. Barnhouse won the first heat with Moss second and Ferguson third. Barks won the second heat with Statler second and Dickerman third.
In the Pure Street class feature, Mark Todd of Jackson was the winner with John Bohn second, Mike Abney third, Wayne Frymire fourth and Derek Shipman fifth. They were followed by Shawn Griffin, Bill Skaggs, Chris Boyd, Chris Webb and Travis Goodman. Frymire won the first heat with Todd second and Shipman third. Bohn won the second heat with Griffin second and Abney third.
