MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Feb. 5) -- Officials from the United States Racing Association are proud to announce that Racing Head Service (RHS) has returned for the second consecutive season as title sponsor of the popular USRA Modified division and the Official Cylinder Head of the USRA.
The support from RHS will directly benefit drivers and teams competing in each of the four American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series divisions throughout the 2011 season.
Product certificates valued at over $2,500 will be awarded to the top five in the final USRA RHS Modified national points and the top three finishers in the USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.
RHS will also contribute cash awards to the national points fund for all four classes.
“RHS® is very excited about our 2011 USRA Modified division sponsorship and contingency programs,” said RHS® Product Manager Kevin Feeney. “We understand how important this type of support is, especially during these economic times. We enjoy this opportunity to give back to the racers and the community who support us and use our products. That’s why RHS® offers one of the performance aftermarket’s most competitive circle track contingency programs.”
The legendary innovator of airflow technology, RHS offers the ultimate in cylinder head, engine block and intake manifold performance. Utilizing the resources of the industry leading COMP Performance Group engineering and development team and the most sophisticated engine technology in the performance aftermarket, RHS has re-established itself as a leader in airflow design.
Founded in 1967, Racing Head Service began exclusively as a manufacturer of racing cylinder heads. Over the years, RHS grew into an integrated racing company, offering complete turn-key engines and race car parts via mail order. Always an innovator, RHS was among the first to offer “crate engines” and mail order parts, establishing its reputation as a leader.
With innovative cylinder head designs and porting techniques, the company became a performance icon during the 1970’s and ’80s in both circle track and drag racing competition.
As the company that started it all, RHS is proud to re-emerge as a member of the COMP Performance Group with the industry’s largest and most advanced airflow technology team. By combining knowledge with valve train experts at COMP Cams for more comprehensive research and development efforts, their engineers have been able to develop some of the highest flowing, best performing cylinder heads and intake manifolds in the performance aftermarket.
The USRA was founded in 2002 with the sanctioning of Modifieds and Stock Cars at the Thunder Valley Speedway in Fayetteville, Ark. Hobby Stocks were added in 2003 and the organization grew steadily over the next three years with 14 tracks hosting USRA events in 2005. The B-Mod division arrived on the scene in 2006 and since then, USRA Weekly Racing Series national champions have been crowned in all four premier divisions.
