Beebe, Arkansas (06/05/12) – When the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model rolls into Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) this Saturday, June 9th not only will competitors be battling for series' points and a $2,000 top prize, but they will also be looking to grab the early advantage in the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series.

Saturday night's event at Northeast Arkansas Speedway will mark the first of six rounds for the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series, which is a miniseries within the CCSDS tour. The six race series includes events at NEA Speedway (June 9th), Beebe Speedway (June 22nd), Beebe Speedway (July 13th), NEA Speedway (July 14th), Malden Speedway (August 3rd), and I-30 Speedway (August 4th).

The RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series boasts a $1,000 bonus to the winner of the miniseries with $500 to the second place driver, $300 to the third place driver, and a $200 bonus to the fourth place driver in the final standings. In addition, Integra Shocks is sponsoring a shock rebuild, Fast Shafts is sponsoring a driveshaft, and other contingency prizes are currently being lined out.

This marks the third year of the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series, and Jim Thompson with RiceTec always enjoys getting to support the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series.

Thompson notes, "We sponsored a car for several years on the COMP tour until the driver decided to step away from racing to focus on college. Chris (Ellis) approached me about doing a miniseries within the series, and it was a natural fit. Chris has worked with us to figure out the tracks that are located in our target markets for our RiceTec and RiceSelect products. We couldn't be happier with the results, and we are honored to get to support these great racers."

He concludes by noting, "We like to think that this additional incentive helps racers to forget about just how hot it can be at the race track during the summer months as they focus on the bonus money."
A technology-based rice company focused on high-value products, RiceTec is the first company to commercialize hybrid rice seed in North and South America. The company is on the cutting-edge of technology in the business. The company has also evolved into a second company, RiceSelect, which produces consumer goods.
