Rick Conoyer injured at East Bay...

Here is some info I got on Conoyer:

He took a right side door shot from a car coming out of the turn. He was unconscious and cut from the car and transported to the hospital. He regained consciousness in the ambulance. He stayed overnight and was released early this morning after x-rays and catscans looked good. Sounds like a concussion.

He's sore today, but all right.
 
Whoa..glad to hear he is ok..bet he is damn sore..probably gots a major headache too. He's a good clean racer..and hope he gets back racing soon.
 
I understand the car is destroyed. Tim Barrett and Mike Null's crew helped put the car back together enough to even get it loaded in the trailer for the ride back to Missouri.

They will be heading back as soon as Rick feels well enough for the ride home.
 
Rick, hope the wife doesnt kill you for scaring her to death... When you get the new chassis call. I'll be glad to help put it together... Jason
 
I was pretty scared when I got the voicemail about this Saturday morning. Glad to hear Rick was released and is (for the most part) ok. Rick - you've been in all my prayers and I hope you're doing much better. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

I just talked to someone who was at East Bay. She said it was a pretty hard hit to the wall and then the second hit. Ouch. I'm glad that Rick is okay. I've known him since St. Charles and he is a great guy. Good luck to him in 2004.

They're back, I hear the video is pretty scary. Thank God Rick wasn't hurt more than he was - someone was watching out for him!
