(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team visited victory lane for the first time in 2010 in dominating fashion on Friday night, March 26 at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas! Rick Eckert timed in fourth fastest in World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying and later won his competitive heat race. After drawing the outside front row starting spot prior to the 50-lap main event, Rick led each and every circuit of the race to earn the $10,000 payday over Darrell Lanigan, Austin Hubbard, Tim Fuller, and Billy Moyer. Following the dominating performance, "Scrub" jumped aboard Hondo, a 1,300-pound Texas Longhorn, in victory lane to cap off the exciting night!

On Saturday evening, March 27, the Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas welcomed the cars and stars of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for another $10,000 to win show. Rick laid down the ninth fastest lap during time trials and later ran second in his heat race. After starting fifth on the grid in the A-Main, the York, Pennsylvania native settled for a tenth place effort. Rick currently sits in the fifth position of the WOOLMS point standings following the Texas doubleheader. You can view complete results from the Texas Two-Step by visiting www.worldofoutlaws.com.

"We had a great car at Battleground and it was really cool to win that race," quoted Eckert today via telephone. "From riding Hondo in victory lane to receiving the awesome Longhorn skull trophy, the whole experience is something I will never forget. The track had some holes and ruts in it, but my car could maneuver around that stuff whereas those other guys had to drive through it. I can't thank my team, family, sponsors, and fans enough for all of their support and hopefully we can make some more memories in victory lane throughout the year!"

The #24 team will take the upcoming Easter holiday weekend off from racing action, but will return to competition over the April 9-10 weekend in the Land of Lincoln. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction the 3rd Annual 'Illini 100' on April 9-10 at the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. The two-day extravaganza at the fairgrounds complex will be highlighted by a $20,000 to win, 100-lap main event. Rick was credited with a tenth place finish in last year's version of this race. Additional information concerning the 'Illini 100' weekend can be obtained by accessing www.farmercityraceway.net.
