(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) Rick Eckert returned to Dirt Late Model competition for the first time since the completion of “Speedweeks” on March 29-30 in a pair of $3,000 to win Three State Flyers showdowns. On Friday night, the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia kicked off the doubleheader weekend. Behind the wheel of Paul Crowl’s #7 entry, Rick laid down the fastest lap of the 39 entrants during qualifying and later ran second in his heat race. The York, Pennsylvania standout then battled to a strong runner-up finish in the 35-lap main event behind only winner Mark Pettyjohn.

The legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland then took center stage on Saturday evening by hosting another $3,000 to win TSF program.
Rick won his heat race in preliminary action prior to posting a third place performance in the 35-lap A-Main behind only victor Jason Covert and runner-up Gregg Satterlee. Complete results from the Easter weekend double-dip can be accessed by clicking on www.threestateflyers.com.

Rick will be back in the seat of his familiar black/orange #24 entry this weekend (April 5-6) at the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will preside over the 5th Annual ‘Illini 100,’ which boasts a hefty $20,000 top prize. Qualifying and heat race action will take place later tonight at the 1/4-mile bullring, while consolation events and the 100-lapper will headline the weekend on Saturday evening. Rick comes into the ‘Illini 100’ fourth in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings and finished fourth in last year’s edition of the Farmer City extra distance affair.
