(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team ventured to the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia on October 19-20 for the 3rd Annual 'Raye Vest Memorial,' which honored Rick Eckert's longtime car owner Mr. Raye Vest. On Friday night in the $3,500 to win portion of the weekend, Rick was leading on lap seven of the A-Main before a broken rear-end relegated him to a disappointing twenty-third place performance in the 35-lap unsanctioned race. At Winchester on Saturday evening, an $8,000 top prize was on the line.

Rick won a $1,000 prelim to earn the outside of the front row for the 50-lap main event. "Scrub" then grabbed the point at the drop of the green flag and led the first five circuits. At the end of the 'Raye Vest Memorial' finale, Rick found himself in the fifth spot behind only race winner Mark Pettyjohn, Gregg Satterlee, Jason Covert, and Dan Stone. Full results from the doubleheader weekend can be accessed online at www.winchestervaspeedway.com.

Next up for the #24 team will be the ‘Brawl in the Fall’ at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on October 27-28. The unsanctioned event will kick off on Saturday with preliminary action, while the 50-lap feature event on Sunday boasts a $10,000 payday. Additional information concerning this race can be viewed online at www.hagerstownspeedway.com.
