(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team recently completed the grueling Ohio-Pennsylvania Speedweek with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, which took the #24 team to five different venues from July 27-August 1. Rick Eckert's busy week was highlighted by a dramatic $10,000 victory last Friday night at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. The win was Rick's third of the 2010 racing season and his second on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series trail!

After suffering mechanical problems underneath the hood in time trials at Attica, the #24 team unloaded the back-up car and finished fifth in heat race action. Following a B-Main win, Rick rolled off eighteenth on the grid in the 50-lap main event. The York, Pennsylvania native was inside of the top ten when a red-flag situation occurred near the halfway mark of the A-Main and it was discovered at that time that his radiator was leaking fluid.

The crew made a quick radiator change during the red-flag period and Rick restarted from the tail end of the stout field. Utilizing the bottom groove of the Attica speedplant, "Scrub" stormed back to the front, eventually grabbing the top spot from Josh Richards on lap 47. Rick went on to capture the $10,000 payday in exciting fashion over Richards, Darrell Lanigan, Shane Clanton, and Clint Smith!

In other action during Ohio-Pennsylvania Speedweek, Rick finished fourth last Tuesday at the Central Pennsylvania Speedway, thirteenth on Thursday at the Sharon (OH) Speedway, sixteenth on Saturday at the Muskingum County (OH) Speedway, and fifth on Sunday at the Eriez (PA) Speedway. He now finds himself seventh in the latest WOOLMS point standings following the ultra-busy week. A complete race-by-race recap from all five programs can be located online at www.rickeckertracing.com.

"Talk about an up-and-down night at Attica," laughed Eckert this week. "Really our entire Ohio-Pennsylvania Speedweek was up-and-down. We got that win at Attica and a couple of other top fives, but then we had a couple of bad finishes as well. I feel like our cars are getting better and better, but we just lack consistency sometimes. Hopefully, we can put together a solid week in Wisconsin and contend for the win at both Shawano and Cedar Lake!"

The Rick Eckert Racing team has another huge week in store for them in the state of Wisconsin from August 4-7. Up first will be a trip to the Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin tonight for a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series program. Rick will then travel to the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin for the annual 'USA Nationals' weekend. A $5,000 winner's check will be on the line in an unsanctioned show on Thursday, while the 'USA Nationals' will be held at CLS on Friday and Saturday. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction the two-day, $50,000 to win crown jewel event, which will culminate in a 100-lapper on Saturday evening.
