(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, entered a pair of Super Late Model races in his home state of Ohio over the May 17-18 weekend. On Friday night at the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio, Rod ran fourth in heat race action, but later suffered mechanical trouble in the $1,500 to win feature event, which relegated him to a thirteenth place finish.
At the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio on Saturday evening, "Hot Rod" qualified well, ran third in the dash, and later started from the inside of the second row in the $2,000 to win ADRA main event. He then ran amongst the leaders throughout the 30-lap distance and eventually crossed underneath the checkers in the sixth position. The Memorial Day holiday weekend is always a busy one for the Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams and this year is no different.
