Northport, Alabama (05/29/13) – The past few months have been a frustrating time for Ronny Lee Hollingsworth as he has endured several rain outs, but on Friday night he resumed the 2013 season in his #18 Sparks Motorsports/Barry Wright Crate Late Model in NeSmith Late Model Series action at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) and scored his fourth win in six starts with the series.

Thirty-four entries registered for battle in the $2,000-to-win program at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park, which served as an opener for a three day swing over the Memorial Day weekend. Via qualifications Ronny Lee locked into the fourth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. He pursued early leader Justin McCree for the first eleven laps before taking control on lap 12. Once out front he never looked back on his way to the victory, which came over Tait Davenport, Kyle Bronson, Shannon Lee, and Ronnie Johnson.

Saturday night took the team to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) for another $2,000-to-win, NeSmith Late Model Series event. An impressive list of forty-nine competitors filled the pit area, and qualifying locked Hollingsworth into the sixth starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the main event he battled in the top ten before registering a sixth place finish at the checkered flag.

The weekend concluded for the NeSmith Late Model Series competitors on Sunday evening at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi), where once again forty-nine competitors looked to take a shot at the $2,000 top prize. Qualifying locked Hollingsworth into the third starting spot for the feature, and while he raced in the top five early in the feature he would ultimately settle into a sixth place finish for the second straight night.

Hollingsworth continues to lead the NeSmith Late Model Series standings. Full results from all three events are available at www.NeSmithRacing.com .

The team will again hit the road with the NeSmith Late Model Series this weekend as they travel to Boyd's Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Friday night for a $2,000-to-win event before moving to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) for a $4,000-to-win program. Both races will be tribute to the late J.T. Kerr. For more information on the events, please visit www.NeSmithRacing.com .
