St. Francois County Raceway (Farmington, MO), 5/11/2015 - Rule book changes are being announced for both modified classes. July 1, 2015 the following tire changes will go into effect:

A Modified's and B Modified's

The Hoosier A-40s can no longer be ran on the rear axle. The Dirt Car approved tire is the Hoosier A-40 and H-40 in both 26.5 & 27.5. The A-40s tires can still be ran on the front for the remainder of the 2015 Season.

A Modified's

Effective July 1, 2015 you can no longer run the grooved tires on the rear axle, but you can continue to run the on the front for the rest of the 2015 season.

NO GROOVED TIRES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE 2016 SEASON

The tracks rule book has been updated to reflect these changes, it is suggested that teams update their rule book to reflect the changes for 2015. The online rulebook can be found at www.sfcraceway.com.

The reason for this mid year change is due to Hoosier bringing back the A-40 tire. Drivers have experienced a lot of problems with the new A-40s compound with excessive wear. Their solution was to bring back the A-40, most tracks in the area are making this rule change go effective June 1st, but we wanted to give our teams a little more time in an effort to keep the cost down. Teams, if you have any new un-sipped or un-grooved tires, you can return them to Hoosier for full credit, see your tire dealer for more details.
