Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway announced that tonight's (Saturday, June 26)
second-round of qualifying for the Sears Craftsman NHRA Nationals is a complete sell-out.
The standing-room only crowd represents the largest single day attendance in the eight year
history of this event and the first-time in Gateway's history an event has completely sold-out.
"Everyone associated with Gateway and the NHRA are thrilled with the response the great fans
in St. Louis and the surrounding counties have shown for this event and the sport of drag
racing," said Gateway Vice President and General Manager Matt Strelo. "The fans of the region
have put Gateway back on the motorsports map in a major way in 2004 and we look forward to
even bigger days ahead."
The Sears Craftsman NHRA Nationals conclude with the Final Eliminations on Sunday
afternoon and evening. Plenty of tickets still remain for the Sunday conclusion of this record-
setting event.

8:00 am Parking Lots Open
8:30 am Gateway Will Call Opens
10:00 am Spectator Gates Open
11:00 am Sportsman Eliminations
3:30 pm Pre-Race Ceremonies
4:30 pm Final Eliminations
10:00 pm Secure Event
