Semo Raceway Race Results

The threat of bad weather Saturday night kept a lot of racers from coming out to race with us. We managed to get in all the qualifying and heat races, but the features had to be cut short. We did manage to get some of the feature races finished before the lightning and storms put a halt to the features. For the feature races which were unable to be completed, payouts were done according to heat finishes.
In the Micro Sprint A Class, Austin Matthews of Dexter, Mo took his first checkered flag victory for the 2003 season at Semo Raceway with David Dejournett of Essex coming in 2nd. In Restricted Sprints, Dylan DeJournett of Essex took his first victory lap for the season holding Corbin Matthews of Dexter to a 2nd place finish.
In Karting, Stock Heavy was won by Dusty Baggett of Paducah, KY with Tom Roslen of Sikeston finishing in 2nd. Stock Medium was won by Derek Hogue of Dongola, Illinois with Abe Martin of Boles, Illinois finishing in 2nd. The light Class was won by Michael Grant of Boles, IL holding Brandy Gonzales of Sikeston to a 2nd place finish. Over 35 was won by David Gonzales of Sikeston with Kevin Roslen of Sikeston finishing in 2nd spot.
Jr. Stock was won by Eric Harris of Murphysboro, Illinois with Justin Permentor of Dyersburg finishing in 2nd. Jr Champ class was won by Kaylee Blue of Broseley, Mo. The Jr. Sportsman Champ class was won by Colby Burge of Cape Girardeau, with Cordie Burkman of Malden coming in a very close 2nd place finish. Rookie Class was won by Shawn Knuckles of Poplar Bluff, with Channing Lowery of Paducah finishing in 2nd. Destiny Scott of Jackson, Mo took her 2nd Feature win of the season finishing in front of Elijah King of Risco, who took home the 2nd place trophy. Third place in Yard karts was won by Derrick Garner of Blodgett.
