LaFARGEVILLE, N.Y. (March 31) – Seven race dates are on the schedule for the 2010 World Products Empire State Series.

The ninth annual tour takes IMCA Modifieds to six different tracks in New York. All features pay a minimum of $400 to win.

IMCA national, ButlerBuilt Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be given for the first five races. Special series points only will be given for the two October contests.
Chapman’s Can-Am Motorsports Park at LaFargeville hosts the series opener on Sunday, April 18. The tour is at Skyline Raceway in Cortland for a Memorial Day Weekend show on Sunday, May 30 and makes its first visit of the season to Five Mile Point Speedway in Kirkwood on Wednesday, June 23.

Brewerton Speedway is site of the Friday, July 30 show. The final race during IMCA’s regular point season is Sunday, Aug. 15 at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle.

Fulton Speedway hosts the Friday, Oct. 1 date. The series finale is Saturday, Oct. 30 at Five Mile Point.

The point fund will be paid out to top 10 drivers who compete in at least five of the seven races; because the series ends after national, regional, state and local standings become official, no bonus points will be awarded, but the series champion will be added to the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

Kevan Cook won a record-matching five feature events in capturing the 2009 series title.
