Seymour starts season with inaugural Spring Thaw special

SEYMOUR, Wis. (April 6) – The inaugural Spring Thaw special sees three IMCA divisions on the track for the first time this season at Seymour Speedway.

IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win in their Saturday, April 10 main event at Seymour. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are also on the 2010 lidlifter.

National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. The Modified winner will be added to the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

Gates open at 10 a.m. and the grandstand opens at 11 a.m. on race day. Hot laps are at 11:30 a.m. with the first heat to fol¬low.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students ages 13 to 17. Kids 12 and under get in free when accompanying a paid adult.

Pit passes are $25. Fans can hobnob with drivers during the party that follows the race program.

Inspection and test and tune is from noon-7 p.m. on Friday, April 9. Pit passes are $15 and grandstand admission is free.

Bassett rewards IMCA SportMod, Stock Car drivers
BURLINGTON, Wis. (April 6) – Post-season prizes for both IMCA SportMod divisions and the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars make up Bassett Racing Wheel’s contingency program again in 2010.
Track champions in the Stock Car class, as well as the Southwest Racing Specialties Southern SportMod and Karl Chevro¬let Northern SportMod divisions, all receive $60 product certificates good toward the purchase of four wheels from the Burlington, Wis., manufacturer.
National champions in all three divisions receive sets of four wheels.
Bassett returns to the national decal program for the two SportMod classes and drivers in each of those divisions must display two Bas¬sett decals on their race car to be eligible for contingencies.
