Shamrock 40 Set for Friday May 17th at Belle Clair

The Shamrock 40 UMP Late Models will now serve as the 2019 season opener for the stock cars on Friday, May 17th. The event will feature UMP Kettler & Son’s Late Models, Modifieds, Brian Thompson Pro-Mods, Belleville Automotive Pure Stocks, Pro 4 and POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micros.

The Shamrock 40 will kick off the season point’s chase for the Champion. Late Models will pay $2000 to WIN. For Late Models, there is a $1000 bonus if you WIN both the Belle-Clair Speedway Shamrock 40 and the Highland Speedway Lucky 40. UMP modifieds will pay $1000 to win and Ump pro mods $500 to win.

Spectator gates will open at 5:00pm, hot laps at 6:00pm with racing following hot laps. General Admission is $20.00 Kids (under 12) FREE with adult.

Smart decision to move hot laps up to 6:00 and start racing sooner. Hope they stick to it, a 6-division show with an 11:00 curfew is tough to finish. Hope that $2000 to win pulls more Late Models our way. Let's go racing!
Also, last week the micros were POWRi sanctioned (like they will be on Friday) and there were 40+. I also hope for the sake of those attending that the show gets done before curfew; it seems that six classes is ambitious.
