Show-Me LateModels Heading To LebanonMidway

Lebanon,Mo.The Popular Race Brothers Farm And Home Supply Show-Me Racin Series LateModels will be making their first of two scheduled visits to the LebanonMidwaySpeedway Friday Night July 9th with a full field of talented LateModel drivers from the 4-state area including 2 Lebanon area drivers.

Heading the list of expected entries includes current point leader Justin Wells of Aurora, National Dirt Hall of Fame driver Ken Essary of Cape Fair,Larry Campbell of Van Buren,Arkansas,Former modified standout Randy Zimmermann of Fort Scott,Kansas,The Father and Son Duo Darrell Mooneyham and Dustin Mooneyham of Aurora,Joplin's Chuck Comer,former Midway SuperStock driver Dwight Neihoff of Lockwood,Springfield's Chris Morelock,Willow Springs driver Justin Asplin and many other top LateModel drivers from the 4-state area.Wells has 1 career LateModel feature win at Midway as does Ken Essary.

The last time the Show-Me Series raced at Midway was May in 2008 as Shane Essary won a classic battle.

Local Lebanon Drivers Brandon McCormick and Nascar SuperTruck driver Tony Jackson Jr will also be attempting to make the 22 car field which will pay $1,000 to the winner while starting the feature is $325.

McCormick is always a crowd favorite at any of the area dirt-tracks in the LateModel division and is always a threat to win.Brandon is just getting his 2010 season started as some health issues kept him on the sidelines at the start of the season.McCormick has always had strong runs in LateModel races at Midway.

Tony Jackson Jr is tenatively scheduled to drive McCormick's back-up Latemodel in this weekend's competition and has many laps around the Midway.A 2005 SuperStock Champion and 2006 A-Mod Champion,Jackson Jr has been racing this season a limited schedule on the Nascar Camping World SuperTruck Series and has come close to winning a MARS SuperLateModel feature at Midway.Jackson has competed this season in McCormick's LateModel already this season at Monett while almost pulling off a victory.

Support classes competing in this event in regular points action will include the Central Bank FactoryStocks in which the winner will recieve $300,The Energy Company Modifieds(B-Mod Rules) in which the winner will also take home $300.The Coldwell Banker StreetStocks with $200 going to the winner,the popular PureStocks with $125 going to the winner and the MidWest Modz in which the winner will also gather $125.

Grandstand Gates open at 5PM with hotlaps at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM.
Admission for this special event will be $15 for Adults with kids 11-15 $8. 10 and under are Free
