Maryville, Tennessee - The 6th annual Tennessee Tip-Off World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series race scheduled for Saturday, March 9 at Smoky Mountain Speedway has been postponed. The weather forecast for the upcoming weekend does not look favorable and the decision was made to reschedule the race. The Tennessee Tip-Off has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 23. The $12,000 to win race will still be sanctioned by the World of Outlaws. The limited late models and the Kajun mini stocks will also remain on the schedule for March 23, each running for $1,500 to win. Ticket prices and other event information can be found at www.SmokyMountainSpeedway.com.

"We hated to make this decision," stated Casey Moses, promoter at Smoky Mountain Speedway. "We've put a lot of work into the track the last few months and have been excited for everyone to see what we've done. But the weather doesn't look as though it's going to cooperate. We're hoping things will be better in two weeks for the drivers and the fans."

The open practice scheduled for Friday, March 8 has also been rescheduled for Friday, March 22.
