During the past racing season I got a chance to meet and talk with a number of the Hornet and Wannabee drivers. What I found was a group of racers who just genuinely love the sport of racing, but most are on a "fixed" budget.

Now that we have expanded the RAMS Mini Stock class to the Montgomery County Speedway once a month and the RAMS Points Series has expanded up into the St. Louis region more and we also race weekly at the Fredericktown Raceway, I would like to extend a special invitation to you all to come and jump up into the RAMS Mini Stock class.

A large percentage of you already have rear-wheel drive vehicles that could easily be upgraded to meet the RAMS safety requirements. With the exisiting RAMS members we would do whatever we could to help and assist you in making the transition.

since nobody else responded to your post I figured I would. Converting my car to a ram is one alternative, however I would have a hard time giving up my feul injection, in fact I'm not sure it could be done without changing the head on my engine and a whole lot of othar changes I would have to make. Racing at the rock was fun and we all liked the way we were treated. now I heard pevely is considering getting rid of us. I guess right now we all have to sit and wait to find out whats going on. Love that big track but I love racing more than any particular track. I'm sure I'll see you down there sometime next season one way or the other.
And by the way, kudos for your promotional efforts. keep up the good work. the world is watching
 
There's no way I-55 will drop the Wannabees. If they do they are crazy.... Just remember you guys will always have a place to race with us... It would not take much of an adjustment for you. Believe me.. Plus, if you need any kind of help what so ever all you have to do is ask us on the RAMS board... Us 4-banger classes have to stick together... LOL

thanks for the comeback and I hope your right. I can only hope that sooner or later we get looked at as race car drivers. we can't go as fast or look as cool but we drive just as hard. in fact according to some sportsman drivers who have been in minstock cars, these little cars are a rougher ride and due to the lack of suspension tricks are harder to keep on the track. maybe those who look down their noses at us ought to strap into one and give it a go (yeah right). I have decided to move ahead and build a new and improved car for 2004. see you at the track!!!!!
