Spring Nationals special starts new race season at Beatrice

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 15) – Four IMCA divisions are on the program for the season opening Spring Nationals special this Friday and Saturday, March 19-20 at Beatrice Speedway.

IMCA Modified features each night pay $1,500 to win, a minimum of $200 to start and are qualifying events for the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Twenty-four cars will take the green flag each night and all Modified drivers are guaranteed $75 a day in tow money.

National, ButlerBuilt Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be given for both shows.
Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $300 to win Friday and Saturday. National and state points will be awarded in each class; Hobby Stocks also earn Probe Industries Northern Region points.

Friday’s show also sports a $200 to win feature for Mach-1 Sport Compacts in a national and state point event.

An open practice session for all divisions runs from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 18.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m.

Grandstand admission each race night is $14 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $10 for Thursday’s practice and $25 for Friday and Saturday shows.
