Springfield,Mo.-The Quick Quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway will be hosting an October of Racing to remember in 2009 as information concerning the running of the 2 day Octoberfast has been released for the 4th annual running of the event with over $26,000 plus up for grabs on October 9th and 10th.
Classes involved this season will feature the high powered A-Mods(USRA Rules) with the winner recieving $1500 to win the feature event while starting the feature will capture a driver $500 in the 20 car field.The SportMods or B-Mods as they are refered to(SpringfieldRaceway rules) finds the winner of this popular and growing class $700 while just starting a Main event takes you home 130.The Southwest Missouri area Bombers finds a whopping $500 payday for the winner while starting the feature grabs you $100.
The ever fast moving LegendCars which are very well suited for action on the Racy Quick-Quarter sees the feature winner topping $300 with starting the feature takes home $100.The area Pro-4 LateModels are added to the racing card for the weekend's activities with the winner grabbing $200.PureStocks are added to the Friday night events as you need to bring your track rules for a Purestock class as the winner on Friday Night takes home $200 while starting the feature takes home $30.
Friday night will feature qualifying heats in all classes as passing points will be used to set the fields.The top 8 passing point cars will lock into Sat nights A- Mains while everyone will finish qualifying through the B features on Sat Night to finish out the 20 car fields.Friday Night drivers meeting is at 6:30 while that will also be cut-off time for draws.Any cars arriving afterwards will start tailback and not be eligible for passing points,only the heat finish points.Any drivers not competing Friday night,but competing Sat night will start tailback in the B features and must cover the Entry Fee and drivers Friday night pitpass.
