SpringfieldRaceway Releases Tenative Action Packed 2011 Racing Schedule

Springfield,Mo.-Following an action packed and successful 2010 Racing season,the Quick-Quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway has released its Tenative 2011 racing schedule for the 1/4 mile clay oval.

Weekly competition will include A-Modifieds,SportMods,StreetStocks,PureStocks,Midwest Modifieds and Legends as these classes compete in the Springfield based-Transport Graphics Championship chase for 2011.

Action will start early with the running of the 1st March Madness event featuring LateModels(MARS/MLRA Rules),A-Mods,SportMods and Midwest Modifieds on Sat March 19th.Last season's March Madness fell to weather.Qualifying heats will start around 2PM that afternoon as the final purse structure will be announced shortly.The weather date for the March madness will be the following Sat on March 26th.

Following a Test-n-Tune open to any racing classes on Sat April 9th,the chase begins for the season long battle on Sat April 16th as the points races begin and run all the way through Sept 3rd.Last season Mitch Keeter of Webb City(A-Mods),Wayne Graybeal of Springfield(SportMods),Jack Hamer of Ava(StreetStocks),Justin Comer of Joplin(Legends) and Kaleb Copher of Webb City(Midwest Modz) took home the championship honors.This season Transport Graphics of Springfield has joined as the title sponsor for the Championship Chase.The regular points races keep rolling From April 16th to May 7th before the next special event rolls into town.

May 14th will find the track hosting the running of the John Knutz Memorial presented by Andy's Frozen Custard as the MARS and MLRA SuperLateModel Series join forces again to provide ground pounding LateModel Action on the high-banked Quarter Mile along with Support Classes to be announced competing in point races.

May 21 will find not only a regular points action,but the running of the Law Enforcement Challange Cup Event in which members of the Law Enforcement from not only Springfield but all surrounding areas race each other in special built Corwn Vic cars and it will also be Autism Night at the races.

May 28th there will be no racing at SpringfieldRaceway as the running of the Show-Me 100 will be at Lucas Oil Speedway.

The points races get back into swing on June 4 with all the normal classes as June 11th will find the ACSC2/Power I Midget Series tackling the Quick-Quarter along with Mini-Sprints as drivers from the 4 state area will be making their only apperance and local classes competing for track points.

June 18th and 25th the Chase for the Championship rolls forward while July 2nd will find the Winged 360 SprintCars from the ASCS Sooner Region and the newly formed ASCS Warrior Region do battle along with points races.July 9th will see the Transport Graphics Championship chase still in strong action as the track will not be racing on July 16th due to the Diamond Nationals in Wheatland,Mo.

Aug 13th the Midwest Lightning Sprints join the high octane action of the Weekly Racing series

From there the battle for the 2011 season titles rolls right through until Sept 3rd when the Speedway holds its Season Championship Night.

No racing will be held on Sept 10th due to the IMCA SuperNationals in Boone,Iowa.
The high profile running of the Larry Phillips Memorial will be held on Sept 17the presented by Sportsland Accesories as the MARS and MLRA SuperLateModels due battle again at the Quick-Quarter.

Currently plans are schedule for another Autism night on Tuesday October 4th while the Popular high paying Bordertown Casino along with another exciting round of the Law Enforcement Challange Cup do battle on Sat October 15th.

October 29th is scheduled as the running of the 1st ever BoogerMan Event with classes to be announced and the season ends with the high power action of the 5th Annual Turkey Classic presented by Bad Boy Mowers on Sat Nov 26th with LateModels,A-Mods,SportMods and Legends competing.
