Springfield,Mo.-The chase for the championship at the SpringfieldRaceway will come to an end Sat Night as the point battles will be over for the 2010 season.Racing will feature the high-power of the Budweiser A-Mods,Reliable Chevrolet GM Performance SportMods,Wheeler Metals StreetStocks,LegendCars,MidWest Modz and the Purestocks.

Going into this weekends events current point leaders are Mitch Keeter(A-Mods),Sean Williams(SportMods),Jack Hamer(StreetStocks),Justin Copher(Legends),and Kaleb Copher(MidWest Modz). The PureStocks will be competing with last Sat Night having a season-high car count and exciting action.
Keeter is looking to take away the title from defending champion Jackie Dalton in the A-Mod class as many positions could change.Keeter could be known as the Silent Knight this season as that black 52 car has quietly been in the hunt all season long. This could be Keeter's first ever title as he holds a 23 point margin over Dalton.Springfield's Erik Maggard fresh off his win last Sat night is only 2 points behind Dalton and could sneak around the multi-time track champion to sneak into second place.

SportMod Competition has been close all season long as currently 3rd generation area driver Sean Williams takes a slim 6 point lead over Springfield veteran Wayne Graybeal into the final points night.Williams who started the season like wildfire found a mid-season drought place the consistant Graybeal into the hunt.Last Sat night, flat tires cost both drivers a chance to pull away as these two were like glue all night long.

Ava's Jack Hamer will get his first ever StreetStock championship at SpringfieldRaceway as perfect attendance and constant heat race winss along with top 4 finishes has his familiar 714 on top of the standings.Defending champion Robert High sets in second while little Brother Randy High has won two feature wins in a row.
Justin Comer of Joplin holds the top spot in the Legends division while Joplin's Park Jones has moved back into second place only 15 points out of the lead while Rob Watson sets in third.Watson's chance fell to a skyrocket launch Sat night in turn 3 as the car vaulted into the air.Rob was able to walk away safely and is only 18 points out of the lead.Dave Comer and Tyler Horton round out the top 5 as young lion Horton is closer to his first feature win.

Kaleb Copher looks to be crowned the 1st ever MidWest Modz Champion as the former Legend Driver holds the lead over another young gun JC Newell of Stoutland who is only 14 years old.Copher plans to move up to the SportMods next season leaving the title wide open for next season in the popular growing class.Newell who won the feature last Sat night is hoping to go back to back and rumors say a new motor might be ready for Sat Night and the season ending specials.
