FARMINGTON, Mo. - The St. Francois County Raceway will host it's annual Play Day and Car Show this Saturday at the St. Francois County Fairgrounds on Highway 67.

The car show will kick things off at 9 a.m. and will actually be held at Hefner's Furniture (located directly in front of the track) and will feature all five classes of cars this season at SFCR, including the new Pure Street class.
Following the car show the attention will swing over to the track for the annual Play Day starting at 1 p.m. There is no admission to the grandstands. Racers will get a chance to try out the newly reworked racing surface at SFCR where nearly 110 loads of fresh dirt has been distributed.
"There's a lot more banking this year," said SFCR Promoter Cory Franklin. "I look for record lap times being set."

The 2005 season at the St. Francois County Raceway will officially open on Saturday, April 9th. Season tickets are still available by contacting Cory Franklin at (573) 438-4546 or (573) 438-7337.
