St. Francois County Raceway was full of racing excitement on 08/20/03. The night started with Steve Short flipping his car around hard in turn one during the hot laps.
During the hobby stock heat one, Matt Eaton led from the start to win followed by Jeremy Greenwalt. In heat two, Karl Francis jumped up front in the first lap to get the win followed by Nathan Gibson in second.

In heat three, Joey Montgomery was up front to win from start to finish with a great race for second between Steve Short and Lee Dunn. Lee Dunn passed Steve in the last lap to get second. In heat four, Timmy Montgomery and Todd Rowland fought for first with Timmy taking charge to get the win and Todd getting second.
In the modified heat one, Lannie Blake was leading but he hit Paul King when Paul spun out. This left Kenny Kennedy up front to win and Tommy Worley Sr. picked up second. In heat two, Billy Ames and Mike Crader fought for first with Billy picking up the win and Mike getting second. In heat three, Tim Radford led from the start to win and Bill Gilliam getting second. There was a great race for first in heat four between Adam Parmely and Billy Smith. Adam was able to hold off Billy for the win and Billy finished second.

In the sprint B-main, Tommy Worley Jr. returned to race. Tommy started in the back and worked his way up to first in four laps to win, followed by Keith Burch in second, John Epperson in third, and Jason Keith worked his way up from the back to get fourth.
In the modified B-main, Lannie Blake was leading when something went wrong with his car taking him out of the race. This left Eddie Gross up front to lead the race to the checkered for the win followed by Lou Driemeier in second, Jim Swift in third and Jim Brayton Sr. picked up fourth.
There was a couple of restarts for the sprint feature. The first for debris on the track and the second for Steve Short’s front wing coming off of his car, after the restart on lap two, Chad Souders spun out in turn four bringing out the caution and a single file restart. Lee Dunn pulled out front but Todd Rowland made his way around him for the led. Joey Montgomery charged his way up front to steal the led from Todd and Tommy Worley Jr. hit the wall in turn three hard flipping his car up and over taking him out of the race. Joey Montgomery held off the charge of Timmy Montgomery who showed signs of passing Joey in the last few laps of the race. Joey Montgomery picked up the feature win followed by Timmy Montgomery in second, Lee Dunn in third, Daron Clayton in fourth, Todd Rowland in fifth, Rod Crabdree in sixth, Timmy Moss in seventh, Jason Keith in eighth, Greg Burns in ninth and Jeff Davis picked up tenth.
There was a lot of cautions in the modified feature causing some top spot cars to lose positions, like Tim Radford hitting the wall in turn two and losing his second place spot and Adam Parmely getting together with Mike Crader in turn one and two causing both cars to go to the back of the pack. There was a great race for first between Tim Hill and Kenny Kennedy. Tim Hill worked his way up to second to threaten Kenny’s led but Kenny was able to hold him off to win the feature. Tim Hill picked up second followed by Dan Zander in third, Eddie Gross in fourth, Tony Palmer in fifth, Tim Radford in sixth, Bob Waterhouse in seventh, Kevin Hulsey in eighth, Glenn Miller in ninth and Lou Driemeier finished tenth.
The race went from green to checkered, in the hobby stock feature. Matt Eaton led from the green to the checkered to pick up the win and holding off the charge of Jeremy Greenwalt.
