The All-Stars and the NCRA’s came to St. Francois County Raceway for the big All-Star race and our local boys dominated with “THE FREDRICKTOWN FLASH” Tim Montgomery, picking up the feature win.
St. Francois County Raceway had a great turn out for their All-Star show on 07/26/03. There were a total of 48 sprints and the stands were full to see the show of the year at Farmington. There was great racing all around. In the sprint hot laps, Timmy Moss flipped his car up and over in turn three and four but Josh Revelle hit him turning him back over. Tim Montgomery flipped his car over on its side in turn one and two in the sprint heat one. Chad Kemenah won the sprint heat one, Kelly Kinser won the sprint heat two, Lee Dunn won the sprint heat three and Joey Montgomery won the sprint heat four. There was a sprint A, B and C main. Daniel Adler won the sprint C main followed by Ernest Jennings in second, Bruce Robenalt in third and James High finished fourth. In the sprint B main, Bryan Matthews got up into the wall in turn one and two causing a red. Jeff Davis won the B main followed by Greg Wilson in second, Jason Keith in third and Joey Moughan in fourth. Kelley Kinser won the Haulmark Dash. Kelley led the dash from the start to win.
The Sprint A-main was one race to remember. We had all the talent here and our local boys showed how good our area drivers really are. The top five finishes were local racers to St. Francois County Raceway. Timmy Montgomery and Jerrod Hull fought back and forth for a bit then Timmy went high and took off. Timmy dominated the raceway cutting through traffic like it was butter. Timmy proved to us that we have a lot of talent in our local track by picking up the All-Star feature win followed by Jerrod Hull in second, Tommy Worley Jr. in third, Jim Moughan in fourth, Steve Short in fifth, Dean Jacobs in sixth, Daron Clayton in seventh, Joey Montgomery in eighth, Jan Howard in ninth and Kelly Kinser finished tenth.
We had a great 600cc Multi feature with a lot of great racing. Dustin Barks and Brett Anderson got black flagged for aggressive driving. A couple of restarts due to spins then after the restart, Derek O’Dell came from the pack to the front charging everywhere to pick up the feature win followed by Kent Buckley in second, Toney Roney in third, Curt Henderson in fourth, Joey Boyd in fifth, Lance McKinney in sixth, Jeremy Boyer in seventh, Matt Dotson in eighth, Brian Keen in ninth and Tyler Thompson finished tenth.
Check out the complete results and points.
Don’t forget there are no races at St. Francois County Raceway next weekend due to the county fair, but don’t miss the five dollar night the following weekend on 08/09/03.
